The Wolves won the match with 103 points, and the Lakers lost the match by 96 points.

Despite one of the worst shooting performances in NBA history, the Timberwolves, who had been among the league’s top 3-point shooting teams throughout the regular season, prevailed. The Wolves went 7 of 47 (14.9%) from beyond the arc, the lowest 3-point shooting percentage in NBA postseason history (minimum 40 tries). Minnesota missed 18 straight 3-pointers between the second and fourth quarters. Since at least 1998, this has been tied for the second-most consecutive 3-pointers missed in a postseason victory.

Timberwolves vs Lakers: How did the Wolves defeat the Lakers?

Rudy Gobert, the center, gave the Timberwolves one of his best performances in his 12-year career despite the dreadful shooting display. Gobert has 14 points from his first 4 games. He was the first player in NBA history to record 20 rebounds and 25 points. In addition, he shot 80% in the series-ending win after exploding with a career-high 27 points and 24 rebounds on 12 of 15 shooting in the playoffs.
