Steelers vs Cowboys 20–17 Dallas beat Pittsburgh

Let’s examine the Steelers vs Cowboys game in more detail. The Dallas Cowboys defeated the Pittsburgh Steelers 20–17 early on Monday morning. The game started with nearly a two-hour delay due to weather caused by lightning.

In the last minute of the game, it looked like the Cowboys would give this game away to the Steelers at Acrisure Stadium, but they recovered and eventually scored their third win of the season.

Steelers vs Cowboys: Dowdle push Cowboys to victory

Already shorthanded because of several defensive absences, the Cowboy’s challenge was intensified after a two-hour weather delay. Their defense faced further tension when Marshawn Kneeland exited early due to a knee injury.

Meanwhile, Dak Prescott had a rough outing, as he fumbled once and threw a red-zone interception, eventually adding a third turnover in the second half. However, these hurdles did not define the game’s outcome.

The Steelers vs Cowboys recovered and quickly overcame their mistakes, largely through standout performances from running back Rico Dowdle and wide receiver Jalen Tolbert, with both players achieving new levels in their careers.

It was a crucial fourth-down play where Prescott connected with Tolbert, who crossed the goal line to grab a spectacular win. Just before one in the morning on the East Coast, Dallas won 20–17 thanks to this spectacular touchdown in the Final Moments.

There’s Drama in the Dallas Cowboys

Following an expensive interception in the end zone during the Game, Dak Prescott and CeeDee Lamb had a tense conversation. CeeDee told Prescott that he threw a ‘subpar throw’.  Prescott attempted a throw for Lamb at the end of the first half, but the two defenders covering him caught it.

After the play, their interaction on the sidelines indicated that not everything was fine. The overall performance of the Dallas Cowboys offense was also concerning.

They struggled with missed chances, especially under the leadership of their recently re-signed quarterback. Prescott also fumbled while being sacked by T.J. Watt, who recorded his 100th career sack.

Plus, he threw an awkward second interception into double coverage in the fourth quarter. To make matters worse, the Steelers vs Cowboys had a field goal attempt blocked in the third quarter.

If it hadn’t been for a last-second touchdown on fourth down that put the Cowboys ahead 20-17, they would likely be facing a disappointing loss and a lot of unanswered questions.
