Born on May 2, 1972, in the United States, Dwayne Douglas Johnson is a businessman, actor, and professional wrestler best known by his ring name, “The Rock”. He is a wrestler signed to the WWE, where he is a part of The Bloodline and has a part-time position. Recognized by many as one of the best professional wrestlers of all time.
In reference to his ancestry, Tony Atlas and Johnson’s father, Rocky Johnson, were the first black tag team champions in WWE history in 1983. Ata Maivia, his mother, was a professional wrestler as well.
By pursuing this gift, he has gained worldwide recognition as “THE ROCK.” Coming towards his Disney adventure, then we all know that we are waiting for the arrival of Disney’s live-action Moana 2.
Disney’s live-action Moana film now has a production timetable, which was disclosed by none other than Maui, the demigod. Over the weekend, Dwayne Johnson, who has played the shape-shifting deity in all Moana productions, took to Instagram to share the happy news and reveal the main cast members for the upcoming movie.
As everyone is aware, the creation of the Moana remake was delayed for more than a year. It is scheduled to be released in two years, exactly a year and a half after the much-awaited Moana 2. In the live-action Moana, Johnson, who is playing Maui again and also serves as one of the producers, revealed that full-scale production will start this summer. Additionally, before posting and tagging the cast members who had already been revealed, he stated that:
“Exciting casting news as we begin to assemble our Live Action Moana team. It is our great honor to share the legends, songs, dances, and customs of our Polynesian culture with you and your families all over the world. Production begins this August.“
The movie Moana 2 has a cast of new characters, including:
- Moana- Catherine Laga’aia
- Moana’s father- John Tui
- Moana’s mother- Frankie Adams
- Moana’s Gramma Tala- Rena Owen
Auli’i Cravalho who provided the character’s voice in both the first Moana film and its impending direct sequel, will be replaced by Laga’aia.
