Mohammed Sabry Soliman, 45, is accused of throwing the device onto a crowd gathered in a pedestrianized zone for a peaceful rally in support of Israeli hostages still being held in Gaza. The incident was categorized as a terrorist act by the FBI.
In the Boulder terror attack, Mark Michalek, an FBI special agent, said at a press conference that
“It is evident that this is a violent act that was specifically targeted, and the FBI is looking into this as a possible terrorist attack.”
CCTV footage from the attacks shows that the suspect, Mohamed Soliman, who was shirtless and screaming at the group, was arrested with what appear to be Molotov cocktails in each hand.
